Alive In Christ!

"O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness." (Psalm 30:3-4 KJV)

Think back to the time when you were young and nothing worried you. You were carefree because others were responsible. Think back to those days when you imagined a distant future of adulthood and you could have anything you wanted. Think about the times you decided no one would tell you what to do. Now consider that you never dreamed you would arrive at the place you are today. Thank God for his guidance and peace!

How wonderful is the presence of the Lord! He forms us. He calls us. He redeemed us! He walks with us. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. He keeps us alive and free from the grave's victory. Thank God for preserving us!

“For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. (John 6:33 KJV)

Bread . . . eaten at a party with a snack dip. Bread . . . spread with butter and jam. Bread . . . served with pasta at a restaurant. Bread . . . thrown to ducks at the lake. Bread . . . the body of our Lord, broken on Calvary and giving eternal life to those who choose to receive it. Thank God for his Bread of Life that keeps us alive!

Dear Father, thank you for making us alive through Jesus Christ. Empower us with a passion for you that is vibrant and alive. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN
