Passion For Christ

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21 (NIV)

Think about it. Living for Christ. Ministering for Christ. Giving glory to Christ. Glorifying Christ is what Paul lived for. It was what consumed him. It awakened him in the morning. It motivated him throughout his day. And it was the last thing he thought about before closing his eyes in sleep. If we listen closely, we can almost hear the shout of praise bubbling up in his soul.

Of course, Paul was a special case. He was God’s anointed Apostle and Pastor. Yet, we might consider this from a different perspective. Paul is also an example of a believer in love with the Savior. He is an example of a believer obeying the purpose of his life. This criterion alone explains his motivation and success.

Every Christian should be engrossed with a burning love for the Savior. Consider how our families might be affected if we were consumed with bringing glory to Christ. Imagine what would happen in our communities and churches if we discovered our purposes in life, then pursued them passionately like Paul.

It's about being a Christian. It's about being in love with Christ.

Dear Father, thank you for your love for us. Empower us to passionately pursue our relationship with Christ. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Be strong and courageous today with passion for Christ,
