Great Missions Require Supportive Assistance

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." (Genesis 1:28 NKJ)

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20 NKJ)

Adam & Eve had a physical mission to birth children, filling the earth with the human race that would subsequently rule and govern all created things in civilization. Although both received this commission, neither Adam nor Eve could have achieved God's will alone. They needed each other to complete their mission.

The embryo church of a few believers was given a spiritual commission that was, in effect, strikingly similar to the one given Adam and Eve. Those few believers were commanded to birth believers, filling the earth with disciples who would subsequently govern and rule the whole earth in the Kingdom of God.  Although each of the Lord's disciples received this commission, a single disciple could not achieve God's will of world evangelization alone. They needed each other to complete their mission.

Whether your mission is to evangelize your children, family, friends and so forth or to pursue a global ministry, you'll need a partner to achieve it. Perhaps your mission is to help another person achieve his/her mission. There is at least one other person who shares the burden for your mission.

You can do some things alone, but to achieve God's mission, you can't do everything yourself, so ask for help.  "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven" (Matthew 18:19 NKJ). You can achieve all of God's will . . . with the right partner!

Dear Father, thank you for giving me a mission and a partner to achieve it. Empower me with the attitude and the partners to achieve all your will for my life and ministry. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Make God your number one partner today.
