Enthusiasm

"Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD'S name is to be praised." (Psalm 113:1-3 NKJ)

Today. What a great day! It is a day of praise, but not merely a day of feeling good or affirming a positive thoughts. What a day to bless the Lord! Every day is a good day - rain or shine, cold or warm, stormy or fair - to adjust our attitudes and note how good God is. Let us enthusiastically rejoice in Christ today!

Praise isn't merely for those circumstances when all is right in our world. Rather, we affirm his presence and control even when difficulties and storms of life arise. In fact, those times are when we need his presence the most. And since he is enthroned in our lives through our praise and worship (Psalm 22:3), we praise him today and every day, no matter what is happening.

I affirm the old hymn, I Am Blessed! "Every day that I live I am blessed. When I wake up in the morning til I lay my head to rest, I am blessed, I am blessed." Yet, I must also affirm that I praise God, not because of my blessings received from him, but rather because of the blessing of who he is. I am blessed that he is God!

If you need something to stir your soul and charge your spiritual battery, read your favorite Scripture and shout praise to the only One who deserves the glory and honor and praises. Remind yourself to praise him from sunrise to bedtime. Why? Just because! If you need a reason, they are abundant and unending, but if you have to ask that question, you may not yet truly understand who he is.

It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. It is his secret place in which we live. It is his shadow that protects us. He is our refuge! He is our fortress! He is our Shepherd, walking with us in the valley of fear and death. He is our guide in front and our guard behind. It is his pasture where we are comforted. From sunrise to bedtime, there is not enough time to praise him sufficiently!

He is God! His mercy is everlasting! His loving kindness is better than life! He paid the ransom for my soul! He died, was buried, and is resurrected! He ascended to the Father, but he is coming back for us! From sunrise to bedtime, there are more than enough reasons to praise his name!

Praise him! Praise Him! Jesus our blessed redeemer. I intend to praise him to my last breath. He alone is worthy to be praised!

Dear Father, thank you for who you are, our Creator and God. You are my God and I will trust you forevermore. Forgive us our faults, failures, and sins which do so easily entangle us. Empower us with the enthusiasm of praise today and every day. I humbly pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Enthusiastically praise Christ today,
