Not Forgotten

"Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble." (Psalm 10:12 NKJ)

O how the enemy rages! Yet, we are not defeated. He screams curses and threats, yet we are calm and at peace. His whirlwinds and earthquakes do not disturb us, for we know that our God reigns. The weapons of the enemy cannot harm us nor even come near to our house because we are the Lord's possession. We are the inheritance of the Lord!

The enemy may think that God doesn't see what he is doing, but God is not blind. The enemy may whisper, "God has forgotten you and your requests," but God has not abandoned us. God has not hidden his face from us. God takes note of the trouble and grief the enemy causes us.

It may seem that we are helpless in our circumstances, but our God is the Father of the helpless. He is our support and strength. He has committed himself to us. He breaks the bondage of every yoke installed by the enemy. He will avenge the righteous and those who trust in him. It is not God who has forgotten, the enemy simply refuses to remember.

Oh, but when we call on Jesus; when we call on the Lord to arise in our situation;  when we call on God to avenge on our behalf; when we humble ourselves and rely on the Holy Spirit, then something powerful shifts in the universe. God lifts up his hands for us. When we ask for his attention, he flexes his muscles to confirm that he has not forgotten us.

Dear Father, thank you for not forgetting the humble folk. Enable us to see your hand lifted up in our behalf. Grant that we may know you have arisen in our circumstances with power and deliverance. This I pray in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Today trust the One who does not forget you,
