Faithfulness

"Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer . . . Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." (Revelation 2:10 NKJ)

Minnie Richard Smith wrote, “Diamonds are only chunks of coal, that stuck to their jobs, you see.” Sticking to our "job" of enduring to the end will transform us into diamonds of God's Kingdom. Remaining faithful is the key!

It is so easy to fear the churning waves of life around us, but Jesus is there on those waves with his hand outstretched to save us from sinking. Take his hand in faithfulness and walk on the waters of life.

The cares and troubles here are merely the pressures that break the coal and produce the diamond. Decide to be a diamond today! Be faithful to the commands of Christ!

A momentary failure may cause a lifetime of regret, but faithfulness will create an eternity of joy. It is a good thing to remind ourselves regularly: "I have decided to follow Jesus." It does wonders for the soul.

Sometimes our hardships and troubles cause more suffering than seems bearable, but the crown of life will be worth it all. I intend to be faithful and win the crown. I invite all my friends, loved-ones, and colleagues to join me in the race (even those who don't want to hear it).

Dear Father, thank you for the crown of life that awaits all those who are faithful to the end. Empower us to run the race patiently and faithfully. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Be faithful without fear today,
