Continuing Gratitude

"It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night, On an instrument of ten strings, On the lute, And on the harp, With harmonious sound. For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. O LORD, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep." (Psalm 92:1-5 NKJ)

Since I didn't write a devotional yesterday (Thanksgiving Day), I pray that you will have a grateful spirit and attitude everyday of your life, despite the circumstances you encounter. Everyday is a beautiful day to enjoy the  blessings of the Lord and be grateful for a year of great things.

Henry Ward Beecher wrote something along these lines, “The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; But the thankful heart will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessing.”

Melody Beattie wrote, "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."

Dear Father thank you for your love and generosity. Thank you for this opportunity to express our gratitude. Empower me to entrust all my issues into your hands and to keep a grateful attitude all year. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Be strong and courageous today in continual gratitude,
