Happy in the Lord

"But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful. Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him--his name is the LORD." (Psalm 68:3-4 NIV)

Here I stand by grace surrounded,

I am kept by love divine;
All my enemies will be confounded
Even though they may align.
Happy am I, God’s grace is mine!

Though relationships all may pale,

And all friendships surely fail,
I refuse to give up all I cherish,
Even if at last I perish;
Happy am I, God’s love is fine!

In the fire God may prove me,

From this world to set me free,
He will never cease to love me;
For his truth has made me free.
Happy am I, God’s grace is mine!

Here I stand by grace divine,

I am kept both day and night,
God is in me like new wine,
Now and forever my only light.
Happy am I, God’s love is fine!

Dear Father, thank you for the joy you give. Empower us to share the joy with others. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN
